Cross Country Takes Part in Osprey Open

GALLOWAY, N.J. — The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) cross country teams took part in the Stockton University Osprey Open; their second meet of the season; on Saturday morning.

Defending Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week Jennifer Sarji (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) led the Bears for the second consecutive meet, clocking a time of 30:08. Danielle Bourne (Brooklyn, N.Y./Christ the King) followed Sarji in 33:52 with Grace Kennedy (Maspeth, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) placing third on the team (37:20), resulting in a 14th place team finish on the 6k course.

Evan Sirakis (Hollis Hills, N.Y./St. John's Prep) crossed the finish of the men's 8k course in 36:27.

The Bears return to action on Sunday, September 24 at 11 am when they participate in the Knight Invite, hosted by fellow Skyline school Mount Saint Mary College.
