Men’s Volleyball Defeats Medgar Evers For First Win In Program’s History

BROOKLYN, NY - Playing in their first season as a varsity sport, the St. Joseph’s College men’s volleyball team got their first win defeating Medgar Evers College 3-2 in a dramatic five set match. The win snaps a 20-game losing streak dating back to last season where the program began as a club sport.
Men’s Volleyball Wins First Set Ever, but Loses Doubleheader to Southern Vermont

BENNINGTON, VT - St. Joseph’s College men’s volleyball won their first set ever in intercollegiate competition, taking the first set 30-27 in the first game of the doubleheader against Southern Vermont College. The Bears were unable to hold off the Mountaineers in a close battle between two winless teams. St. Joseph’s lost the first match 3-1 (27-30, 30-27, 30-23, 30-23) and the second match 3-0 (30-26, 30-24, 33-31). Southern Vermont improves to 2-12, breaking a 32 game losing streak, and St. Joseph’s falls to 0-6.
Men’s Volleyball Drops Two Over Weekend to Cooper Union and Yeshiva

NEW YORK, NY - St. Joseph’s College men’s volleyball remained winless losing two straight set matches to Cooper Union and Yeshiva University this past weekend. The Bears still haven’t won a set competing in their first varsity season.

(JAMAICA, NY) Men’s volleyball opened their first varsity season with a straight set loss to York College on Monday night at the York College Recreation Center. St. Joseph’s falls to 0-1 and York improves to 6-15.
