BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- After a disappointing opening weekend at the NYU Tip-Off Tournament, the Lady Bears (0-2) look to pick up their first win of the season in a non-conference game at Brooklyn foe Medgar Evers (1-0) on Wednesday evening with a 7 pm tip.

Lady Bears Last Time Out

St. Joseph's dropped a 75-62 decision to long-time rivals Staten Island in the third-place game of the NYU Tip-Off Tournament. 

Cougars Last Time Out

Medgar Evers defeated Pratt Institute, 61-44, in their season opener on Saturday. Sophomore guard Nia Tompkins scored 21 points in the Cougars first win in two seasons.  

Retas Tabbed USCAA Player of the Week

Junior Samantha Retas was named USCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday after averaging a double-double at the NYU Tip-Off Tournament and highlighted by a 20-point, 17-rebound effort vs. Staten Island.
