Spotlight: Jillian O'Hara, Women's Swimming

Spotlight: Jillian O'Hara, Women's Swimming

Jillian O'Hara owns two Lady Bears Swimming records setting the 100-yard butterfly mark of 1:16.77 in just her second meet with the Lady Bears last season. Earlier this season, O'Hara helped break one of the oldest standing Lady Bears records as she was part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, besting a mark that stood for over five years. At the 2015 HVIAC Invitational Championship this year, Jillian claimed one of four individual event wins for St. Joseph's en route to their first Invitational title, winning the 100-yard breaststroke and later swimming a personal best in the 200-yard individual medley.

Pre-game rituals or superstitions…

Don't touch me when I'm about to get on the block!!

Favorite road trip so far…

Since we have only had one road trip… it would have to be when we went to Cedar Crest College in Pennsylvania with the basketball team.

My goals for this season are to…

  • Goal 1: Is to not be the last one in the pool at practice
  • Goal 2: Not talk to everyone so I'm not the last one in the pool at practice
  • Goal 3: And break a record or two!
