Joseph Boccia Receives AD3I Baseball Player of the Week Honors
KANSAS CITY, MO – Freshman shortstop Joseph Boccia (Westwood, NJ / Westwood) was selected as the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 5th.
Boccia had a breakout week for St. Joseph's helping the Bears to a 4-0 record compiling a.545 batting average, .615 on-base percentage and a 1.182 slugging percentage. He recorded six hits, five of which were for extra bases (three doubles, two triples) and scored six runs and drove in five.
During the 21-3 win over St. Paul's College, Boccia highlighted his week going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBIs and a double.
Boccia is on a six-game hitting streak and leads the team in triples (4).
