Rain Washes Out Baseball vs. Yeshiva and Softball vs. New Rochelle

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) and Yeshiva University baseball teams were ready to square off on Wednesday night at Taft High School, before evening rains rendered the field unplayable, forcing the postponement of the non-conference matchup between the future Skyline Conference rivals for the second time this season.

No make up date has been set at this time, but both squads are already scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, April 22 for a single game at Taft High School.

Additionally, the forecast for rain on Thursday has postponed the softball home opener vs. Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe The College of New Rochelle. The Lady Bears (0-6) will now open their home slate at Padavan-Preller Field with a set of doubleheaders this weekend hosting University of Valley Forge on Saturday and University of Maine Presque Isle on Sunday. Both twinbills will start at 1 p.m.

The Bears (2-7) will return to action on Friday, March 27 against Lehman College in a road double dip starting at 3 p.m. in the Bronx.
