Rogowski Named Rookie of the Week for Third Time

BROOKLYN, NY – St. Joseph's freshman Jan Rogowski (Woodside, NY/St. John's Prep) has been named the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) Rookie of the Week for the week of February 1st. This is the third time this season Rogowski has won the award, the most in recent history.

Rogowski, who has won the award in three of the past six weeks, scored at least ten points in all three games the past week. The Bears went 2-1 in that span, all against HVMAC opponents. Rogowski shot a blistering 52.6% from the field and averaged 16.7 points per game. He also added five rebounds per game, averaging 25 minutes of court time.

Rogowski saved his best game of the week for last, putting together a 24 point, seven rebound performance against Sarah Lawrence. He also connected on five three pointers, the most in his short career.

Rogowski and the Bears wrap up their regular season this week with three more games, including their final home game February 12th against Lancaster Bible. The game is part of a double-header with the women's basketball team and St. Joseph's will also be celebrating senior night for men's basketball, as well as the dance and step teams.
