Louison, Rogowski Earn AD3I Player of the Week Honors

OVERLAND PARK, KS – A pair of St. Joseph's men's basketball forwards have been recognized by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) for their outstanding recent play.  Freshman David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund) and junior Jan Rogowski (Woodside, NY/St. John's Prep) have been named Player of the Weeks for the Weeks ending January 29th and February 12th respectively.  This marks the seventh week a Bear has been named Player of the Week by the AD3I.

This is the fourth time this season Louison has received the honor, the most in the AD3I.  Louison averaged 20.5 points per game in two games while coming down with eight rebounds and dishing three assists per game.  He also recorded his third game this season with 20 or more points, scoring 22 in a loss to Medgar Evers.

Rogowski earns the award for the second time this season, also taking home Player of the Week honors back in December.  Rogowski helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 record on the week, scoring a game-high 20 points in the win against Lancaster Bible while connecting on 5-of-8 three point attempts in the game.   For the week, Rogowski shot a proficient .500 from the field (10-of-20) and behind the arc (6-of-12).

St. Joseph's looks to extend its season long winning streak to five games when they host the top seed in the CUNYAC Conference, College of Staten Island, February 14 at 7:30 pm in their regular season finale.  The team will also be honoring its two seniors, Justin Gist (Brooklyn, NY/Newsome (Fl.)) and Antoine Forehand (New York, NY/Rice).
