Louison & Megafu Sit Atop the Division III Statistical Leaders in Double-Doubles
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In the latest NCAA Division III national statistical rankings released today, sophomore David Louison (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) and freshman Michael Megafu (Brooklyn, NY/Nazareth Regional) were ranked one-two in double-doubles for games played through Sunday, December 9th.
Louison's seven double-doubles place him in solo first and Megafu sits just behind him in a six-way tie for second with six double-doubles. Megafu added a seventh double-double in yesterday's victory over Lehman.
Louison also ranks third in rebounds per game, averaging 13.2 a clip, with Megafu ranked 12th averaging 11.5 boards a game.
Megafu's team-leading 63.4 percent shooting percentage places him 24th in the nation.
As a team, the Bears were ranked 30th out of 408 teams ranked in field-goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 38.2 percent shooting.
The Bears have raced out to an 8-3 start, matching their best start since 2006, and will return to the court on January 7, 2013 for a non-conference road tilt against Drew University.
