BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Chris Distefano, a high-energy comic who ranks as one of the top scorers in St. Joseph's College men's basketball history, will appear as the comedic guest on the Thursday, June 20 episode of the Late Show with David Letterman.

Over his four-year career as a Bear, Distefano averaged 15.4 points per game and amassed 1865 points. Since he graduated St. Joseph's in 2006 with a B.S. in Psychology, no other Bear has come within 500 points of his career scoring mark. Not only a prolific scorer that drained 177 three-pointers and 304 free throws, Distefano's name is sprinkled among the all-time Bears top 10 in almost every major statistical category.

The two-time United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American helped lead the Bears to two USCAA National Tournament appearances, including a program-best national championship runner-up in 2003.

On the comedy scene, Distefano has worked at all of the top comedy clubs across New York City including, but not limited to, Gotham Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway and The Comedy Cellar. He has opened up for comedy legends such as Richard Lewis, Gilbert Godfried, and Artie Lange.

Fans may recognize him from MTV's hit shows GuyCodeGirlCodeFailosiphy and Money From Strangers. Distefano was selected from hundreds of comedians across the country to be one of Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch" as part of the 2012 New York Comedy Festival where he was also selected as a finalist in "New York's Funniest".

In addition to Distefano, Letterman welcomes award-winning actor John Travolta and musical guests Japandroids to Ed Sullivan Theater. The Late Show can be viewed on CBS at 11:35 pm.
