Alumni and Family Day and Hall of Fame Induction Set for Sunday; Men's Basketball vs. USMMA Postponed

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Due to the government shutdown that went into effect at midnight and rendered non-essential federal employees to cease work, Sunday's Skyline Conference men's basketball game against the United States Merchant Marine Academy has been postponed.

The Alumni and Family Day and Hall of Fame Induction will still take place as scheduled. The alumni basketball game will begin the festivities at 11 a.m. and at the halftime of the game, a special ceremony to induct Chris Distefano '06 into the Hall of Fame will take place.

A make-up date for the men's basketball game vs. USMMA will be announced at a later date. The Bears (6-10, 6-6 Skyline) will return to action on Wednesday, January 24 hosting first-place College of Mount Saint Vincent (12-5, 10-2 Skyline) in a Skyline showdown at The Hill Center starting at 7 p.m. The Dolphins will come to Brooklyn on an eight-game win streak, but the Bears overcame a 21-point deficit to stun the Dolphins in Riverdale in November.
