Three Bears Named to USCAA National All-Academic Team

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Recognizing their outstanding performances in the classroom and on the soccer field, juniors Raul Urshela (Orlando, Fla./Colonial) and Marco Fuentes (Orlando, Fla./Timber Creek) along with sophomore Nolan Parr (Red Hook, N.Y./Red Hook Central) have been named to the men's soccer United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National All-Academic Team.

Urshela, is named to the USCAA All-Academic Team for the second straight year. The junior started in 13 games for the Bears at forward leading the team with eight goals and 16 points on the season. Urshela led St. Joseph's with 25 shots on goal and had two game-winning goals for the Bears. The forward had two multi-goal games with St. Joseph's earning the win in both of those contests.

Fuentes, earns USCAA All-Academic Team honors for the second consecutive year. The junior appeared in nine games making nine starts on defense for the Bears.

Parr, takes home the All-Academic accolade in his first year of eligibility. The defender appeared in and started in eight games for the Bears recording two shots.

USCAA National All-Academic Team members must be sophomore academic standing or higher and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.5 grade point average in order to qualify.
