Bears Tennis Comes Up Empty vs. Cooper Union
BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team suffered a 9-0, non-conference setback to six-time Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference champions Cooper Union on Friday at the USTA National Tennis Center.
The Bears (0-4) were held without a point for the second straight match and remain searching their first win of the season.
Junior Nick Orlando (Brooklyn, NY/Christ the King) managed to take the lone game off his opponent at No. 5 singles, falling 8-1 as the Hawks won the remaining singles and doubles matches at love.
St. Joseph's travels to New Haven, Conn. on Sunday, April 21 to face Albertus Magnus College starting at 3 p.m.
