Men's Tennis Drops Decision to Lehman College, 8-1

BRONX, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team dropped their second match of the season to Lehman College, 8-1, on Thursday afternoon.

The Bears (0-2) grabbed their lone decision in singles play with freshman Kevin Caciedo (Jackson Heights, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy), topping Ramon Belliard at No. 3 singles in a third-set tiebreaker, 6-7 (7-5), 6-2, 10-7, to earn his collegiate win.

Nick Orlando (Brooklyn, N.Y./Christ the King) also battled valiently, rallying after dropping the opening set, but was defeated at No. 4 singles by Jay Mudi also in a third-set tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-2, 14-12. 

In doubles play, Kyle Johnson (Red Hook, N.Y./Red Hook Central) and Caicedo made a good effort in the No. 2 doubles match, but ultimately fell short, 8-5.

St. Joseph's continues to search for their first victory of the season when they take on Albertus Magnus this Sunday. First serve starts at 1:00 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
