Men’s Tennis Drops Skyline Opener to USMMA

KINGS POINT, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team opened Skyline Conference play will a 9-0 loss at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (4-0, 2-0) on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) played a tough match at No. 3 singles falling by a break, 8-6, in a pro-set due to darkness.

Trerotola and Daniel Vaitzman (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber) teamed up at No. 1 doubles and took a game off their opponents. Sean Devine Dunn (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) and George Garyfallos (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) teamed up and took a take at No. 3 pairs.

St. Joseph's (1-3, 0-1) continues a five-match stretch of league matches heading to Sarah Lawrence on Sunday, April 7 for a noon tilt.
