BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — Junior Valentina Velez Valencia (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) picked up the lone point for the Bears as the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 Skyline Conference decision to Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday afternoon.

Velez Valencia dropped just two games in a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Senior Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) and sophomore Sean Devine Dunn (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) both took four games off their opponent at No. 3 singles and No. 5 singles in a losing effort.

St. Joseph's (1-4, 0-2) hosts preseason favorite Yeshiva University on Wednesday. April 10 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center starting at 7 p.m.
