JAMAICA, NY – The St. Joseph's College men's volleyball team lost in straight-sets (30-19, 30-8, 30-20) on Wednesday night in a non-conference match to York College.
Ed Han (McLean, VA/W.T. Woodson), Maciej Sadowski (Brooklyn, NY/Cathedral Prep) and Anthony Grasso (Jackson Heights, NY/St. John's Prep) recorded three kills each. Grasso was recently named HVMAC Rookie of the Week for games ending March 7th. Muhammad Ali Bhatti (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) dished out six assists and Mike Modugno (Astoria, NY/St. John's Prep) had nine digs to lead the defense.
Bryan Williams led York (12-12) with 11 kills and nine digs and Aruni Piantini had 21 assists.
York dominated the contest leading from the opening serve until the final point.
St. Joseph's (1-7) returns to action at home, hosting Brooklyn College in a non-conference matchup on Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 PM at Brooklyn Technical High School.
