Lady Bears Seeded #5 for USCAA Softball National Championship

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association released the seeding for the 2009 USCAA Softball National Championship earlier today.  St. Joseph's will enter the tournament as the number five seed and will face Southern Virginia in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament hosted by Robert Morris College Springfield in Decatur, IL from May 5-7.

The eight teams competing in the championship are:

1. Robert Morris College Springfield
2. Saint Mary of the Woods College
3. Saint Catharine's College
4. Southern Virginia University
5. St. Joseph's College Brooklyn
6. Briarcliffe College
7. Judson College
8. Penn State Beaver
