Lisa Scheer Repeats As HVWAC Player of the Week

BROOKLYN, NY – For the second week in the row, Lisa Scheer(Queens, NY/Mary Louis) has captured Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Player of the Week honors. 

Scheer was phenomenal at the plate and in the circle, helping the Lady Bears post a 5-1 record.  On the week, she compiled a .400 batting average (6-for-15), .867 slugging percentage, and .524 on base percentage.  Scheer had a home run, triple, double, five walks, seven runs, four RBI and two stolen bases.

Scheer also hit her first collegiate home run during the win over Sarah Lawrence in the second game of the twin-bill.

In the circle, Scheer went 2-1 with a 1.56 ERA allowing only four earned runs in 18.0 innings of work, striking out 20 and walking only three.  In the 3-0 win over York College, Scheer tossed a complete game shutout, the first of her career, with 11 strikeouts and surrendering only two hits.
