  • Brooklyn escaped a bases loaded jam unscaythed in a scoreless third inning but a two-run blast from Gabrielle Cinquemani put Long Island up 5-1 through three-and-a-half.
  • A leadoff hit set up another run scoring inning in the bottom of the fourth with Brooklyn knocking three straight hits to start the frame. Maria Gentile led off with a single followed by a Quintana double followed by Kristen Ferrigno's single that brought Gentile home.
  • Both squads would post ones up in the fifth with Samantha Rossi delivering one a two-out single that scored Candelaria who walked and swiped her second bag of the game.
  • But the the Golden Eagles broke open the game in the sixth with nine runs highlighted by a Kristen Arbiter grand slam and despite leadoff hits from Quintana and Ferrigno in the home half, Brooklyn could only muster two runs and the game ended by run rule.
