Provino Signs Celebratory Form to Join Women's Basketball in 2018-19

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Head Coach Tom Flahive has announced the addition of Jamie Provino, a senior at Harrison High School, to join the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's basketball team next season. Provino recently made her financial deposit and signed an NCAA celebratory form to join the Bears.

"Jamie is an outstanding shooter with unlimited range and is a tough defender with great instincts," commented Flahive on the signing. "To top it all off, Jamie is an outstanding student. We are really excited to have her sign early with our program."

Provino hails from Westchester, New York and played for Ursuline Academy in New Rochelle where she averaged 14 points and five rebounds last year as a junior. She presently attends Harrison High School in their honors program.

This past summer, the 5-foot-7 shooting guard played AAU basketball with Future Stars and posted 18 points and six rebounds per game. She will join a young Bears squad that will develop five rookies this season and will lose no seniors to graduation.

Provino is pictured signing her celebratory form with her AAU coach, Rita Peduzzi, and her strength and conditioning coach, Chris Ward.

Picked to finish sixth in the Skyline Conference this upcoming season, the Bears will open their 2017-18 slate of games on Wednesday, November 15 with a home game against College of Staten Island tipping off at 7 p.m.
