NEW YORK —  Following a week where she averaged 30.0 points a game with 6.7 rebounds and surpassed a scoring total that has stood for 19 years, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) senior Kelly O'Donnell (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) has been named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played January 31 to February 6, the league office announced this afternoon.

O'Donnell opened her week against Merchant Marine Academy on Tuesday notching 21 points with five rebounds, three steals and two blocks against the top defensive team in the league. She followed it up with a season-high, 37-point outburst on Thursday against Pratt Institute, shooting 14-of-22 from the field (64 percent) and added six boards, five steals, three assists, and two blocks as the Bears cruised to a 95-60 win over their Clinton Hill rivals.

She capped off the week logging in 32 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 16-of-20 from the free-throw line. Falling one rebound shy of her 10th double-double of the season, she also had five thefts, two blocks and an assist. In the process of logging her fourth 30-plus-point game of the season, she surpassed Mary Barry's '03 scoring total of 1,895 points and became the second known player in team history to eclipse 1,900 points.

With 1,919 points, O'Donnell trails Rosanne Wahl's '00 mark of 2,004 by 85 points. She also sits second all-time with 947 rebounds and trails Samantha Retas' '15 standard of 958 by 11 boards.

The reigning Skyline Player of the Year from 2019-20 receives the Player of the Week for the second time in her career and also was a seven-time honoree for Rookie of the Week.
