Kiley Earns Skyline Women’s Basketball Player of the Week; MBWA Honorable Mention

NEW YORK — In a week where she averaged 21 points, 11.5 rebounds, and etched her name in the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's basketball record book, Emma Kiley (Whitestone, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. The senior center was also listed as an honorable mention by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. The respective announcements were made earlier today.

Coming off a career-high 34-point performance the week prior, Kiley began the week recording 24 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Farmingdale State last Tuesday. Additionally, she registered a pair of blocks to reach 194 for her career; surpassing the previous program record set by Taylor Raccuglia '18 (193).

On her Senior Day over the weekend against Mount Saint Vincent, Kiley turned in a double-double of 18 points, leading all scorers, and 11 rebounds. Her four blocks in the contest brought her career total to 198, two shy of becoming the first-known St. Joseph's basketball player – male or female – to accumulate 200 blocks. She is also 24 points away from reaching the 1000-point milestone.

Kiley leads the conference in blocks (58) and blocks per game (2.8) while the Bears also top the Skyline with 98 blocks and 4.67 blocks per outing. The weekly accolade is her first since earning Rookie of the Week four times in the 2019-20 season. She is also the second women's basketball player to earn a weekly honor this season, following Aaniya Telford's (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) Rookie of the Week nod at the end of January.

Entering the final week of the regular season, Kiley and the Bears host Manhattanville College as part of their Play4Kay game on Tuesday, February 14 at 5 p.m. followed by a trip to Mount Saint Mary College on Saturday, February 18 at 1 p.m. Live stats and video of both games will be available on sjbkathletics.com/live.
