Molic Named Skyline Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK — St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) freshman Anisah Molic (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner) was named the Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week as the league released its weekly report earlier today.

Molic totaled five goals and two assists over a three-game stretch for the Bears last week. She opened the week netting four goals—her second hat-trick of the season—with two assists in a 12-0 win over Medgar Evers on Monday.

The freshman concluded the week finding the back of the net with a shot from 25 yards out that stood as the lone marker in a 1-0 triumph over Maritime College on Saturday.

With nine goals and 23 points on the season, Molic currently sits in fifth place in both categories in the conference. The weekly honor is the first garnered by a Bear in their three-year history in the league.

Riding their first Skyline Conference win in program history, Molic and the Bears (5-3, 1-1) head to Farmingdale State (4-4-2, 2-0) for a league showdown in Farmingdale starting at 5 p.m. Live stats and video will be available on SJCBears.com.
