Women’s Soccer Clinches Skyline Berth With Win Over Yeshiva

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Hat tricks from sophomores Deserae Sequeira (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) and Anisah Molic (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner) powered the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team to a 9-0 victory over Yeshiva University on Sunday evening in their Breast Cancer Awareness Game.

The triumph for the Bears (8-7, 5-3 Skyline) clinched their second straight appearance in the Skyline Conference Championship and positions them for a possible first-round home game when the tournament begins on October 27.

How It Happened

Molic scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the new period and finished with four second-half goals to lead the offense. Sequeira completed her second hat trick of the season with back-to-back tallies in the 64th and 70th minutes before senior Christina Caruso (Astoria, N.Y./St. John's Prep) capped a seven-goal second-half effort in the 88th minute.
