Barrios Placed on All-Skyline Women’s Soccer Second Team

NEW YORK — Katherine Barrios (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) of the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team earned a place on the All-Skyline Conference Second Team, as announced by the league office today. It is the first postseason accolade for the sophomore forward.

Barrios' season began with a brace in the Bears' 4-0 defeat of Yeshiva at Aviator Field. Sandwiched between a goal in a 1-0 triumph over Clarks Summit, she had her second two-goal outing in October against Old Westbury. With three game-winning goals under her belt, the Mamaroneck native placed fourth in the conference.

In addition to getting the ball in the back of the net, Barrios played the role of provider, assisting on goals in matches against the aforementioned Panthers as well as Brooklyn College.

Barrios scored in each of the Bears' wins, resulting in a 3-10-1 record overall and 2-9 in Skyline competition.

The All-Conference and Player, Rookie, and Coach of the Year awards are voted on by the Skyline Conference's 12 head women's soccer coaches based on regular-season play.
