City Tech Shuts Out Lady Bears Tennis

JAMAICA, NY – In a clash of two winless teams, City Tech (1-2) prevailed over St. Joseph's 9-0 in a non-conference women's tennis match held at York College.

Freshman Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge)  turned in the best performance for the Lady Bears, a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Kimberly Battle at 1st singles, playing up from her normal 2ndsingles slot.

The Lady Bears squad has struggled early in the season comprised primarily of rookies with only two upperclassmen.  They look to capture first individual match win when they meet Vaughn College (0-2) in a conference match on Thursday, September 24 at the National Tennis Center at 4 p.m.
