Lintner and McCarthy Named to All-Conference Teams

NEW YORK, NY – In announcements released by the conference earlier this week, women's tennis' Jessica Lintner (Queens, NY/Frank Sinatra) and women's volleyball's Kathleen McCarthy were named to their respective HVWAC All-Conference teams.

Lintner's senior season was the most successful of her four-year career, capped by a seven-game singles winning streak to close the season and a HVWAC Championship at 1st singles, the first in program's history.  Her seven singles wins this year also marks the most wins in a season by a SJC tennis player.  Named Player of the Week twice this season, this is Lintner's second straight year being named to the All-Conference team.

In her rookie season, McCarthy led the team in three major categories, tallying 165 digs, 104 kills and 37 aces.  She was the only Lady Bear to appear in all 69 sets this season.  McCarthy was named both Rookie of the Week and Player of the Week one time this season.
