Lintner Named Tennis Player of the Week

NEW YORK, NY – For the second straight week, senior Jessica Lintner (Queens, NY/Frank Sinatra) was named the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Tennis Player of the Week for matches played between October 19-25.

In two matches on the week against Pratt Institute and Vaughn College, Lintner went undefeated at 1st singles and 1st doubles to increase her record to 7-1 over her last eight matches.  The highlight of her week was a come from behind victory in a tiebreak at 1st singles over Laurel Ames of Pratt.

Lintner currently stands at 3-1 in conference singles play and 3-1 in conference doubles play.  The Lady Bears face College of New Rochelle in a conference match on Thursday to close out the regular season.  Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the National Tennis Center.

After the New Rochelle match the Lady Bears will conclude the 2009 season at the HVWAC Tournament on Saturday, October 31 also at the National Tennis Center.
