Kristen Bauman Wins First Match of Season in Team Loss to York

The Lady Bears lost their third match of the season on Wednesday to York College by a score of 8-1.  The team drops to 0-3 on the year while York improves to 5-5.                                                      

Sophomore Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge) was the only winner for the Lady Bears, defeating Allana Wilson at 2nd singles 10-9 in a thrilling match to pick up her first victory of the season.  Sophomore Patricia Nealon (Maspeth, NY/St. Francis Prep) also put forth a strong effort, falling in a tight 3rdsingles match 10-7 to Amba Chanoine and in 3rd doubles 12-7 with teammate Elizabeth Stein (Forest Hills, NY/St. Francis Prep).

The Lady Bears are back in action on Monday, September 27th at Lehman.
