Lady Bears Pick up Win at Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, CT – St. Joseph's women's tennis evened up their record at 2-2 with a victory on the road at Albertus Magnus 5-4. The Lady Bears won two out of three doubles matches and split the singles to earn the victory.

Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge) and Darcy Crimi (Glendale, NY/Christ the King) earned a hard-fought victory at first doubles 8-5 and Kelly McNamee (Glendale, NY/Mary Louis) and Patricia Nealon (Maspeth, NY/St. Francis Prep) breezed through second doubles 8-1.

Bauman, Crimi and Nealon all doubled up and won later in the day in their singles matches as well. McNamee fell at second singles in the only match to go to three sets, 1-6, 6-4, 7-10.

The Lady Bears head to Sarah Lawrence for a Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference clash with last season's conference champions on Wednesday, October 19th. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
