Bauman Named to USCAA National All-Academic Team

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge) of the women's tennis team was named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National All-Academic Team, in an announcement earlier today recognizing student-athletes in sports not sponsored by the Association.

In all, eight St. Joseph's College student-athletes have been named to the National All-Academic Teams for the fall season.

In order to be eligible for the USCAA All-Academic team, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.

Bauman was the team's top player, earning her second HVWAC All-Conference selection, compiling a 1-5 record at #1 singles and 2-3 record at #1 doubles this season.  It is her first time receiving the All-Academic honor.
