Kelly McNamee Named to 2013 All-HVIAC Women's Tennis Team
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – In ceremonies concluding the season-ending Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Women's Tennis Championships, senior Kelly McNamee (Glendale, N.Y./Mary Louis) was announced on the 2013 HVIAC All-Conference Women's Tennis Team.
The senior helped the Lady Bears conclude their 2013 campaign with a 2-8 record finishing third in the season-ending HVIAC Championships, their best finish since 2009. McNamee won at No. 3 singles in the quarterfinals before falling in the semifinals. The senior would once again team up with Samantha Rossi (Bayside, N.Y./Mary Louis) to earn a victory in the No. 2 doubles tournament.
McNamee spent the season splitting time between the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions. She picked up her first singles win of the year at Lehman College earning the Lady Bears lone win of the match at No. 2 singles.
McNamee notched a doubles win against Sarah Lawrence teaming up again with Rossi to take an 8-5 decision netting St. Joseph's lone point of the match against the Gryphons.
The All-Conference honor is the second earned by McNamee in her career as she took home the honor in 2011.
