Women’s Tennis Turned Away by Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham

MADISON, N.J. — In a final tune-up before a crucial Skyline Conference finale, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's tennis team dropped a non-conference road decision to Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham on Friday afternoon.

Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) led the Bears atop the lineup and took a 6-2, 6-2 loss at No. 1 singles. The senior teamed up with Mariela Picon (Flushing, N.Y./Robert F. Wagner) for the first time this season with the duo taking two games at No. 1 doubles.

Next Up for the Bears

The Bears (2-7) will travel to Newburgh, N.Y. for a chance to clinch their first Skyline Conference postseason berth facing Mount Saint Mary College on Sunday (Oct. 14). First serve is set for noon.
