Tamara Bulatovic Named USCAA Player of the Week, Lady Bears Sweep HVWAC Honors

Senior middle-hitter Tamara Bulatovic (Queens, NY / Grover Cleveland) was named the USCAA Player of the Week for the Week ending October 5th.

In a week where the Lady Bears went 3-0 with two wins in conference play to secure first place atop the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference, Bulatovic was a large factor in the Lady Bears success. On the week, she had 24 kills with a .488 attack percentage and 10 service aces. From the defensive end, she had 38 digs and 3 solo blocks. In the match against College of St. Elizabeth, Bulatovic had a match high 11 kills and team high 19 digs. For her effort, she was also named Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Both honors were the first by any Lady Bear this season.

The Lady Bears took both HVWAC honors for the week with freshman libero Victoria Curran(Queens, NY / Mary Louis) being named Rookie of the Week. Curran had 21 digs and 5 service aces in the three matches. Her best performance was a 9 dig effort in the win over HVWAC rival College of St. Elizabeth.
