Lady Bears Fall to William Paterson

WAYNE, NJ – William Paterson University (11-3) handed the St. Joseph's women's volleyball their worst loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, winning in straight sets 25-7, 25-6, 25-12.  The loss extends the Lady Bears losing streak to five and they currently are 3-7 on the season.

St. Joseph's only managed seven kills in the lopsided loss while 15 Pioneers combined for 37 kills and hit .456 for the match.  Kathleen McCarthy, Christina Indart (Brooklyn, NY/St. Saviour) and Victoria Curran (Queens, NY/Mary Louis) had two kills each.

St. Joseph's returns to action on Tuesday, October 6th for a key HVWAC conference match hosting College of New Rochelle at Brooklyn Technical High School for Alumni Night.  New Rochelle currently is currently in first place in the conference and a Lady Bear win will keep their hope for their sixth striaght regular season title alive.  Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
