GaNun Named HVWAC Volleyball Player of the Week

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Lauren GaNun (Breezy Point, NY/Fontbonne Hall) has been named Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Player of the Week for her performance on the court and leading the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's volleyball team to a 1-1 week.

The freshman middle hitter recorded her first career double-double putting away a career and match-high 17 kills along with 10 digs in a loss to New Jersey City University. For the week, GaNun accumulated 22 kills and compiled a .358 hitting percentage.

Already a Rookie of the Week recipient, it is the first time GaNun has received Player of the Week honors and the first Player of the Week accolade awarded to a Lady Bear this season.

GaNun and the Lady Bears (7-2) begin a three-game cancer awareness homestand as they host non-conference foe Keystone College Tuesday, October 9th at 7:30.
