Sports Schedule Changes for This Weekend

The Athletic Department sends their thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the aftermath left in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.  Please take note of the following changes for athletic related events scheduled for this weekend.

Women's Volleyball: The HVWAC Volleyball Championships have been postponed with a new date to be announced.  The top-seeded and regular season champion Lady Bears earned a first-round bye and were set to face either Culinary or Pratt in the semifinal round.

Women's Soccer: The HVWAC Soccer Championship originally scheduled for Sunday has been postponed.  The Lady Bears semifinal game vs. Medgar Evers, which was postponed prior to Sandy's arrival, is still to be rescheduled with a date to be announced.

Women's Swimming: The Lady Bears season opener at the Sarah Lawrence Swim Carnival has been postponed. The swim team will now open their 2012-13 season at home against John Jay College on Tuesday, November 13 at Brooklyn Technical High School.

Baseball: The mandatory baseball informational meeting scheduled for Saturday has been rescheduled to next Saturday, November 10 at 9 am.

Both the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses of St. Joseph's College are closed until Monday, November 5th.

Coaches have been in the process of reaching out to their teams to verify their well-being, however as communication lines are weak, all student-athletes should try to check-in with a member of their coaching staff, especially those who are in season, for updates on the resumption of practices and schedule updates.
