BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Lauren GaNun (Breezy Point, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall) has been named the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Player of the Week following her play on the court last week.

This is the second straight week GaNun has earned HVIAC accolades and the third AD3I award this season. She now has seven weekly awards this season, also earning USCAA Player of the Week honors twice.

GaNun repeats as Player of the Week after carrying the Lady Bears (7-10) to a pair of wins on the week averaging 7.62 kills per set with a .396 hitting percentage. She notched 21 kills and nine digs in a win over York on October 16th.

With a spot in the HVIAC Tournament on the line, GaNun slammed a career-high 40 kills in leading St. Joseph's to a five-set win over Culinary on October 18th.

The junior leads the HVIAC in both total kills with 267, and tops with an average of 4.77 kills per set.

After clinching the fourth-and-final spot in the HVIAC Tournament, the Lady Bears look for their fourth straight victory when they host Lehman Wednesday at Brooklyn Technical High School. First serve is at 7:30 P.M.
