Women's Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Game on Thursday, October 3

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's volleyball team has partnered with The Side-Out Foundation and join the nationwide Dig Pink initiative to raise awareness and funding for stage IV breast cancer.

The Bears will wear their pink jerseys and host a Dig Pink game on Thursday, October 3 welcoming Sarah Lawrence College to The Hill Center for a Skyline Conference match starting at 7 p.m.

The team has already surpassed 50 percent of their fundraising goal of $1,500 with all proceeds going toward the Side-Out Foundation. Side-Out is the only charity using the power and teamwork of the volleyball community to beat cancer. Less then 5% percent of breast cancer research funding goes toward metastatic cancer which makes their focus on stage IV unique and very important.
