Sarji Repeats as Skyline Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK — For the second consecutive week, Jennifer Sarji (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) of the St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's cross country team was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

Sarji repeated as the Bears' lead finisher, completing the Osprey Open – hosted by Stockton University – in 30:08. Her average mile on the 6k course came in at 8:37.

Already becoming the third cross country student-athlete to earn a Skyline weekly honor, Sarji becomes the first to earn multiple weekly honors in program history.

Sarji and the Bears are back in action on Sunday, September 24 at the Mount Saint Mary Knight Invite from the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. Both men and women will preview the Skyline Championship course beginning at 11 am.
