Bears Place 46 on Winter/Spring Skyline Academic Honor Roll
NEW YORK — Fourty-six St. Joseph's University, New York - Brooklyn student-athletes were recognized on the 2021-22 Winter/Spring Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Skyline Commissioner Linda Bruno yesterday.
"The Skyline Conference student-athletes continue to balance academics and athletics at an extremely high level," remarked Bruno. "Their experience at our member institutions epitomizes what the NCAA Division III philosophy is all about," she added.
In total, 799 student-athletes across the Conference's core institutions and associate members received the distinction, maintaining a 3.3 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale).
Of the 46 Bears to receive the honor, 27 have earned the distinction in previous seasons. A trio of softball seniors – Alexis Buchanan, Ashleigh Hartwig, and Jessica Mecham – graduate as four-time honorees. Softball led all winter/spring teams with 17 honorees followed by baseball with 16.
