Junior Cassandra Molinari was named the Association of Division III Independents Co-Player of the Year while freshman Samantha Rossi was tabbed Rookie of the Year and head coach Frank P. Carbone was chosen as Coach of the Year.
Megafu and McNamee Named Student-Athletes of the Year as Athletic Department Celebrates Awards Night

The Athletic Department wrapped up its 2013-14 athletic calendar hosting their Annual Awards Night on Tuesday evening. Men's basketball sophomore Michael Megafu and multi-sport senior Kelly McNamee were named the inaugural Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year.

Cassandra Molinari was named a USCAA Second Team All-American, while Samantha Rossi was tabbed an Honorable Mention selection after helping lead St. Joseph's to a winning record. Also recognized by the USCAA was seniors Christina Quintana and Megan Moran along with sophomore Maria Randazzo who were named to the National All-Academic Team.
Softball Ends Season With Winning Record After Salvaging Split Against USCAA Rival Briarcliffe

St. Joseph's concluded their 2014 season by splitting a doubleheader with Briarcliffe College on Wednesday, dropping the first game 10-2 before finishing the season off with a 7-3 win in game two to end the campaign with a winning record.

Softball Captures HVIAC Regular Season Title With Triumph Over Yeshiva

St. Joseph's earned its sixth consecutive HVIAC regular season title with a 13-0 win over Yeshiva on Tuesday. Freshman Jamilynn McGowan tossed a complete game three-hit shutout and went 2-for-2 with three RBI at the plate to help the Lady Bears win their seventh game in a row.

Softball Crowned HVIAC Tournament Champions

St. Joseph's earned its sixth straight conference title as it defeated New Rochelle 18-0 in the semifinals of the HVIAC Tournament before dispatching Yeshiva University 14-1 to claim the tournament title. Jackie Perillo earned Tournament MVP honors for her efforts at the dish and in the circle.

St. Joseph's (13-15) looks to secure its sixth consecutive conference title as it takes part in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Tournament on Sunday at Sarah Lawrence College. The Lady Bears enter as the top seed and will face No. 4 seed The College of New Rochelle in the semifinals at 11 a.m. With a win against the Blue Angels, St. Joseph's will play for the championship at 3 p.m. against the winner of No. 2 seed Yeshiva and No. 3 seed Sarah Lawrence.
