Softball Opens Series With Mount Saint Mary on Friday

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Due to the threat of poor weather for Sunday, the softball road doubleheader against Mount Saint Mary College has been moved to Friday, April 9 at 2:30 p.m.

Because of the original configuration of the series and only the first three games counting towards the league standings, the Bears (5-2, 4-2) will bat as the home team in Newburgh on Friday with both games counting as conference games. The Knights (4-0, 3-0) will bat as the home team on Saturday in Patchogue with game two of the twin bill counted as a non-league game.
