FLUSHING, N.Y. — Sophomore Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) contributed a pair of points with wins at singles and doubles and Daniella Alva (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) clinched the deciding point with a straight-set singles win as the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's tennis team earned a 5-4 victory over Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening. The victory was the first for the program since joining the Skyline Conference last season.

  • Trerotola cruised to her second straight league win at No. 1 singles with a double-bagel win, 6-0, 6-0 to increase the Bears lead to 4-1.
  • Daniella Alva won her opening set at No. 5 singles at love and won the second set by a break to clinch the win for SJC.
