Powered by the first 30-20 game in SJC history by Michael Megafu, the Bears defeated sibling rivals St. Joseph's (Long Island) in double OT, 90-87. The win helped propel the team to their first USCAA National Championships appearance since 2007

The SJC dance team maintained the highest term and cumulative grade point averages of all the Brooklyn athletic teams in 2012-13. As a whole, all the student-athletes combined for over a 3.2 GPA in each semester, one of the highest in Athletics history.
