This Week's Schedule Changes for Baseball and Softball

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The weather continues to wreak havoc for the St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn) baseball and softball teams as there are several schedule changes for the upcoming week due to opponents having to make up games in their respective conferences.

The Bears make their return to the field with a single contest versus Staten Island instead of Merchant Marine on Wednesday, April 9th at MCU Park. First pitch is set for 4:15 p.m. between the two schools.

Baseball’s doubleheader against CCNY that was originally scheduled for Sunday, April 6th at MCU Park will now be played as a single game at Randell’s Island on Thursday, April 10th at 4 p.m.

The softball doubleheader originally scheduled for today at home versus Cedar Crest College has been moved to this Friday, April 11th at Padavan-Preller Field and will begin at 3:30 p.m.

The Lady Bears road doubleheader against Old Westbury on Thursday, April 10th has been postponed with no makeup date announced at this time. St. Joseph’s will instead return to action versus Briarcliffe College at the PAL Complex in Holtsville, N.Y., with the twinbill starting at 3:30 p.m.

Also, Sunday’s doubleheader at Purchase has been postponed with a makeup date to be announced at a later time.

The Lady Bears (3-8) look to continue their three-game winning streak, while the Bears (11-7) try to win their sixth game out of their last seven.
