Thirty-Three Fall Student-Athletes Recognized on Skyline Academic Honor Roll

NEW YORK — A total of 33 St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) student-athletes were represented on the Fall 2022 Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

"It is an honor to recognize these student-athletes, who truly exemplify what the student-athlete experience is all about," stated Skyline Commissioner Linda Bruno, adding "their ability to excel academically and athletically is a testament to the hard work and dedication they put in."

In total, 577 student-athletes across the Conference's 12 member institutions were tagged with the distinction for maintaining a 3.3 grade point average or better, on a 4.0 scale, while competing in men's and women's cross country; golf; men's and women's soccer; women's tennis; and women's volleyball.

In terms of Bears athletics, women's soccer and women's volleyball each produced nine honorees. Of the 12 repeat honorees, three — Teuta Hoxha, Kaitlyn Intindola (women's volleyball), and Jessica Mecham (women's cross country) — have earned the distinction three times in their respective sports. Four postseason selections — including three All-Sportsmanship recipients and men's soccer Offensive Player of the Year Victor Naci — were also honored.

Congratulations to all the student-athletes for getting it done in the classroom and on the field and courts!
