Varsity Sports to Compete in New Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

All 13 SJC varsity sports will now compete under the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference starting this Fall.

St. Joseph's receives program-best 10 honorees. Eight selected to the First Team – Rosario DiLorenzo, Thomas McKenna, Mike Cundari, Kevin Diaz, Chris Cutrone, Vinny Rossi, Joe Mendez and Brian Luebcke – along with Domenick Camerada who was named to the Second Team.
Mendez Named D3baseball.com First Team All-New York Region

Joe Mendez becomes the first Bear to land on the D3baseball.com All-Region Team after he led the team with his 41 RBI as St. Joseph's set a school record with 20 wins on the year.

Bears Baseball Senior Day Washed Out

Due to the wet weather forecasted throughout the day, the Bears Baseball Senior Day vs. John Jay has been rained out and will not be rescheduled. The Bears end their season with a program-record 20-15 mark.
McKenna and Cundari Named to USCAA Baseball All-American/All-Academic Teams

After leading the team with his .405 batting average, Thomas McKenna became the second Bear to ever receive USCAA Baseball All-American honors as he was a second team selection. Mike Cundari was named to the National All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year.
Bears Baseball Eliminated from Small College World Series by Penn State Greater Allegheny

The Bears (20-15) were held to just two hits during a 6-1 loss to No. 5 Penn State Greater Allegheny ending their first post season appearance in school history. Vinny Rossi collected one of the two hits and was the only Bear to knock a hit in each game of the tournament.
Bears Baseball Drops Pitchers' Duel to Briarcliffe in Small College World Series Opener

No. 9 Briarcliffe scored three runs in the top of the sixth to break a 1-1 deadlock as the No. 8 Bears (20-14) dropped their first postseason game in program history, 4-1. St. Joseph's awaits the loser of No. 4 Selma vs. No. 5 Penn State Greater Allegheny for their elimination round game tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Bears Come Up Short at Lehman, Fall in 9th

Despite rallying from a four-run deficit and tying the game on a two-run double by Joe Mendez in the ninth, the Bears fell to Lehman College as the Lighting scored a run in the bottom of the ninth on a walk-off single to win 6-5. Chris Cutrone led the Bears at the plate going 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

The Bears game at Lancaster Bible originally scheduled for today has been cancelled and Bears Senior Day against Yeshiva scheduled for Sunday, May 5th has been postponed as the team will head to Butler, Pa. for the USCAA Small College World Series.

Bears Baseball Receives Bid to 2013 USCAA Small College World Series Earning No. 8 Seed

For the first time in the six-year history of St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Baseball, the Bears will compete for a national championship, earning a bid to compete in the 2013 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series. St. Joseph's has earned the No. 8 seed and will play No. 9 Briarcliffe College on Monday, May 6th at 10 am in the opening round of the 10-team, double-elimination tournament.

Rosario DiLorenzo tossed a dominating complete-game, four-hit shutout helping the Bears to a 7-0 victory in the opening game of their doubleheader vs. SUNYIT and nearly completed the sweep but fell 9-8 in extra innings. Thomas McKenna broke the single-season hits record and became the fastest to reach the 100-hit milestone. Joe Mendez became the first Bear to reach 100-career RBI.

The Bears set a school-record for wins in a season at SUNY Canton as they split a doubleheader against the Roos falling, 9-8, in game one before winning the nightcap, 3-1, for their 19th win of the year. Chris Cutrone threw his seventh complete game of the year allowing one earned run on four hits.
