OVERLAND PARK, KS – After finishing their first varsity season, St. Joseph’s soccer team was rewarded by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) with three players garnering post-season recognition. Raul Urshela (Orlando, FL/Colonial) was named the association’s Rookie of the Year and was named first team forward, while goalkeeper Michael Miner (Schenevus, NY/Schenevus) and forward Gabriel Gonzalez (Guayaquil, Ecuador/25 de Agosto) were named honorable mention at their respective positions.

BROOKLYN, NY – After finishing second in NCAA Division III in saves per game with 13.18, St. Joseph’s freshman goalkeeper Michael Miner (Schenevus, NY/Schenevus) has been named to the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference All Conference team. With 2011 being the St. Joseph’s inaugural season, Miner becomes the first Bear to be named to the HVMAC All Conference soccer team in school history.
